Christmas 2021

Today I have a super simple holiday card! I did not use the traditional holiday colors, but instead coordinated the colors from the star paper in the Sweet Stocking Designer Series Paper pack. You can literally create this card in less than 5 minutes!

I began with a Bumblebee card base and added a triangle layer of the Sweet Stocking Designer paper. I stamped the greeting from Holly Jolly Wishes and the star from Penguin Place in Evening Evergreen ink to match the paper.

I used the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine and the Seasonal Label Dies to crop the greeting and layered it on the front of the card. Super simple. I love the sweet stars from the Penguin Place stamp set.

You could also use a BumbleBee Blend marker to add a bit of color to Jolly! Of course I thought of this after I create the card and uploaded it to my post. LOL

If you have not had a chance to play with the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set, it is great for creating quick, clean and simple holiday cards. I hope this card will get you thinking outside of the box for your next holiday creation!

Hey my stamping friends, now that we are officially in November we can begin our countdown to Christmas 2021! There are only 49 days until Christmas!

Over these next few months I hope to share a variety of stamping projects that will get you in the mood for the holidays and for gift giving, which are two of my most favorite things!

Today’s card begins with an Evening Evergreen card base. Evening Evergreen is a new In-color featured in the 2021-2022 annual catalog. I used the Evergreen Elegance and Peaceful Cabin stamp set to create this card. Don’t you just love the little fox?

I stamped the trees from Peaceful Cabin in Evening Evergreen ink, and the greeting from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set on a 4 x 5¼ piece of Basic White cardstock. Mr. Fox is stamped in Cajun Craze and the sweet little snowflakes (Peaceful Cabin) are stamped in Smoky Slate Ink.

I created the snow by tearing a 2 x4 Basic White CS and layered it on the bottom of the white panel. To add a bit more dimension to the snow drifts and use a sponge dauber and add some Smoky Slate ink along the top of the torn edge and under the trees.

Today’s card reminds me of a cabin in Tahoe. What a perfect weekend this would be to spend time in a far off cabin surrounded by snow. Throw in a fireplace, a bottle of wine and a few Hallmark Movies and I am there! Oh and of course no alarm. LOL

Supplies

• Basic White CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base), 3 ¾ x 5, 4 x 5  
• Basic Black C3-7/8 x 5-1/8
• Shaded Spruce CS-4 x 5¼
• Peaceful Cabin Bundle
• Shaded Spruce Ink
• Early Espresso Ink
• Memento Black Ink
• Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
• Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue
• Stampin’ Dimensionals

Directions

• Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
• On 4 x 5 White CS panel stamp cabin in Early Espresso Ink and then crop cabin and several snowflakes with coordinating dies. 
• Stamp trees in Shaded Spruce ink on 3 ¾ x 5 panel of white and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach cabin.  Add snowflakes and stamp sentiment using Memento Black ink.
• Layer the white panel to Basic Black CS and then to Shaded Spruce panel.
• Attach all layers to card front.
• Decorate inside as desired.

This really is a perfect snow scene. I love the soft touch of the added snowflakes. This card looks complicated, but honestly it was really easy. If you got an assembly line going, this could be the perfect holiday card!

Wow, there are only 70 days until Christmas, that is just a little over two months! I absolutely love Christmas and one of may favorite holiday decorations is snowmen. They are so stinkin’ cute!

I was super thrilled when Stampin’ Up! decided to carry over the Snowman Season set and these adorable little snow creatures are the star of today’s Favorite Things Friday!

All Measurement=inches  CS=Cardstock DSP=Designer Series Paper  Landscape Position=Long side   Portrait Position=short side

Supplies

• Basic White CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base), 3 ¾ x 5 (2)
• Smoky Slate CS- 4 x 5¼   
• Snowman Season Stamp Set
• Artistically Inked Stamp Set
• Smoky Slate Ink
• Memento Black Ink
• Picture This Dies
• Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
• Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

Directions

• Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
• Layer Smoky Slate CS to card front.
• Stamp marble image from Artistically Inked in Smoky Slate ink over one piece of 3 ¾ x 5 white panel and use the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine to crop out circles using the Picture This Dies.
• Stamp snowmen in Memento Black ink on second piece of 3 ¾ x 5 white panel so they are peeking out the circles.  I used a pencil to lightly draw around each circle so that I would know exactly where to place the snowmen.  Stamp, color and erase your pencil lines.
• Layer the circle white panel to the snowman white panel and attach both to card front.
• Decorate inside as desired

I really do love the Picture This Dies. I was thinking of creating a card using the Back On Your Feet set. It would make a super sweet get well card. Stay tuned for that in the next few weeks or so. Until than, create something beautiful and be awesome!
