Hey all it is time again for another Make it Monday tutorial and today we are going to create a birthday book card.
This is a fun project for kids. This project is great if you are planning a birthday party and need a craft or if you just need a fun project to keep your little darlings occupied this summer. Either way, this tutorial is easy and does not require a lot of crafting tools.
I chose to decorate my book with the Hey There Chick and the Hey Birthday Chick bundles, but any stamp set you have will do. Don’t forget the Hey Chick Bundle will be retiring in a few days, so if you need to add that to your stamping supplies, our current host code is: 79GFWYZE.

Creating cards with the True Love black and white paper pack is not only easy but quick. This card came together in a matter of minutes. The only part that took a bit of time was the coloring of the flowers. Even that can be quick when using the Stampin’ Blend markers.
I love these alcohol markers because the combo pack of light and dark makes blending a breeze. Check out the variety of colors in the annual catalog on pages 122-123.
Supplies
Basic Black Cardstock- 5½ x 8½, 3-1/8 x 5-5/8,1½ x 2½,
Basic White Cardstock- 4 x 5¼, 3 ¼ x 4 ¾, 1½ x 2½,
True Love Designer Series Paper- flowers (cut with paper snips), 3 x 4½ (dotted), 2 x 5¼
Stampin’ Blend Marker Combo- Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight
Paper Snips
Stampin’ Dimensionals
Stampin’ Seal Adhesive or Liquid Glue
Directions
Score Basic Black cardstock in landscape position at 4¼. Fold & burnish.
Attach 2 x 5¼ strip of True Love DSP to the left side of card front.
Layer the True Love dotted DSP panel to the Basic Black panel and then layer to the 3¼ x 4¾ Basic White panel. Layer all to the card front as shown above.
Stamp greeting in Memento Black ink on white cardstock and crop using the Double Oval Punch. I used the thank you from Beauty of Friendship, but you have a ton of options, so go crazy.
Crop a scallop oval in Basic Black using the Double Oval Punch.
Layer the greeting oval to the black oval and attach to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Color several flowers and leaves from the True Love DSP and use paper snips to fussy cut and attach to front of card.
Add 4 x 5¼ Basic White panel to the inside and decorate as desired.
There are a few different layers to this card, but it really does come together quickly and the pop of color created with the Stampin’ Blend markers is the perfect finish to an elegant card. This would make a great wedding or anniversary card. I hope you are inspired to create something beautiful.

Hey all it is time again for another Make it Monday tutorial. Today’s card is a fun fold Father’s Day card. As you know, Father’s Day is just around the corner, and I am so blessed to still have my Dad in my life.
It is a bitter sweet day, as I am also sad that my Father-in-law is no longer with us. So whether your dad is here with you or in heaven with Jesus, let us thank the Lord for our Dads.To View Video Click Here or Click Image below
