Fall-Halloween-Thanksgiving Cards

A Little Different Plaid

I have been using a lot of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper, but I always seem to go for the traditional fall colors, so today I am challenging myself to use one of the other colors. I decided to go with the Seaside Spray and the Melon Mambo. I am using the Beautiful Autumn and Quite Curvy Bundles, the Country Home stamp set and squares from the Stitched Shape Dies. A little birdie told me to do it! (hee hee)

I used the Seaside Spray, Crumb Cake and Flirty Flamingo blends to color in the birdies. The leaf and the acorn is stamped with Sahara Sand and Cinnamon Cider. The greeting from Country Home is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. This is the stamp that I cut apart and today I am using the part I removed for the inside greeting!

I think it would look sweet to stamp a few birdies on the inside too! I really like the softness of this card and even though it is not traditional fall colors, it works! I hope you are inspired to create something beautiful today. Feel free to email or snail mail me your creations, I would love to share them with others! As always comments are always welcome! Until next time, be blessed!

Simply Thankful!

I just love a beautiful fall day and that is exactly what we had here yesterday. But as they say in Mary Poppins, the winds are a changing and I think today we are in for some much cooler weather. But hey, after all it is November.

My card today is a little fall fun on the diagonal to celebrate all the colorful changes of the seasons. I began with a Pretty Peacock card base and added a matching diagonal accent using the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. I added a small strip of Bumble Bee cardstock and then followed the diagonal with some leaves and acorns from the Beautiful Autumn Bundle.

I stamped the greeting from County Home in Pretty Peacock ink and yes, I actually cut my greeting to separate “Simply Thankful” from “For All Good Things”. I love both of those greetings, but I do admit I use the Simply Thankful a lot! The leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow, Pumpkin Pie and Bumble Bee. The acorns are stamped in Cinnamon Cider.

For the inside of my card I added a piece of Very Vanilla, stamped the greeting in Pretty Peacock ink and added a few leaves and acorns to the bottom corner. I really love this fall set and have made tons of cards. I am really hoping it carries over to the annual catalog this summer. Let me know what you think of this set!

It’s a fall kind of day!

Now here is a real picture of my backyard! While it is so pretty those fall colors, I am not looking forward to racking! YIKES! Thank for stopping by today. Feel free to leave a comment ! Until next time, be blessed!

Curvy Celebration Meets Happy Fall Y’ All!

I can’t wait for you all to purchase the curvy celebration bundle, it is so much fun and I love all the different design possibilities. Today’s card was cased from Windy Ellard a fellow demonstrator, who used the Beautiful Autumn Bundle to put a real Fall-like spin on the curve. I was going to tweak it a bit, but decided it is perfectly adorable just the way it is. Thank you Windy for sharing your talents with all of us! Click Here to see Windy’s original card.

To create this card at home begin with a Very Vanilla card base and cut two pieces of Cinnamon Cider cardstock with the curvy dies. Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow along the curve of the Very Vanilla cardstock. I love how Windy used the punches from the Beautiful Autumn Bundle to add some dimension. Just stamp and punch! The ink colors needed are Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Cinnamon Cider and Cajun Craze. I layered all the leaves and acorns along the curve using our Tombow liquid glue.

For the inside of my card I stamped the sentiment from the bundle in Cajun Craze and added a few Fall punches that I had left over from creating the front side. Tip: To get the lighter shade on the acorn, I stamped off using the Cinnamon Cider ink and the stamped with full strength ink for the top of the acorn. Did you know, that the Curvy Celebration also has a Variety bundle that includes a Christmas Stamp Set and some fun 6 x 6 Christmas Classic Designer Series Paper? Fun. Right?

Coming November 3rd!

The Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper features Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Shaded Spruce and Whisper White. I hope you will stop by tomorrow for some more crazy curvy fun! Who knows, you might even see that Classic Christmas paper. Feel free to leave a comment. Stamp Bundles will be available here on November 3rd. All other supplies can be purchased now. A Grateful Heart!

Sometimes I am amazed at how blessed I am. The Lord has been good to me and while sure there have been struggles and challenges, I am grateful for my wonderful family and the many friends I have made because of crafting. This time of year as the leaves begin to change colors and the cool crisp air returns, I am grateful for seasons. Some people think the Midwest is a boring place to live, but I love it! My card today was inspired by the changing seasons and the swirling winds outside my craft room window.

I started with a Pretty Peacock card base and a layer of very vanilla. The strip on the bottom is a 2 x 4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Series paper. I used the Beautiful Autumn bundle to create the falling leaves, the acorn and the sentiment. I added a simple strip of Bumblebee and Early Expresso cardstock to bring out the colors in the plaid. I hope you enjoy the card and get inspired to create something beautiful. Feel free to leave a comment. I love hearing from you! Thanks for stopping by. Stamping Hugs and Blessing, Renae.

Happy Anniversary!

So yesterday was my 32nd Wedding Anniversary and this is the card that I gave to the love of my life. I thought the pumpkins were so appropriate for this time of year. I used the Pumpkin Pie blends to color the pumpkins from the Gather Together Bundle and cut them out with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. The sentiment is from Well Said and of’ course I could not resist using the Plaid Tiding Designer Series Paper again.

I used a Cajun Craze card base, cut a triangle of the Plaid Tidings Designer series paper, and layered all on some Very Vanilla cardstock. I decided to go with the square greeting to help balance my many round pumpkins. I hope you will stop back tomorrow for some more fall fun! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae.

Season of Thanks!

Remember yesterday when Brian King said prepare yourself for Autumn landscapes, warm colors and sweet reminders of all the reasons we have to be grateful this time of year. Well those words inspired this Fall/Thanksgiving card! Again I used the Merry Merlot for a card base. The leaves are cut out with the dies included in the Gather Together Bundle, with Garden Green, Merry Merlot and Cinnamon Cider cardstock.

You may not realize it from the picture, but I cut out the fancy scallop frame using two of the dies from the layering oval dies and stamped the sentiment directly on the cardstock. This helps keep the bulk of the card down, especially if you are sending it in the mail. Again I added the gold metallic pearls. It is truly amazing how a little bling pulls a card together. I hope you enjoyed the Blog Hop yesterday, it was my first one and it was so much fun. Thanks to all my teammates for posting such amazing card designs. I truly am blessed. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back tomorrow. Until then, stamping hugs and blessings! Renae

Thanksgiving InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Thanksgiving, so prepare yourself for Autumn landscapes, warm colors and sweet reminders of all the reasons we have to be grateful this time of year. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I created my Thanksgiving card using the Celebrate Sunflowers set and the greeting from the Gather Together set featured in the August-December mini catalog. I used the Plaid Tiding Designer Series Paper, but I have to admit even though the suggested color is Cherry Cobbler, I actually preferred the Merry Merlot card base.

I layered a piece of Very Vanilla 4x 5 1/4 on top of the Merry Merlot and added a piece strip of the Plaid Tidings 2 x 5 1/4 to the bottom. I added a small strip of Bumblebee cardstock and colored my sunflowers with our Stampin’ Blends! As a final touch I added three Metallic Gold Pearls.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Courageous, Faithful and Strong!

Today’s post title perfectly describes a dear friend of mine, Lucy. I got this card in a card swap and I cannot remember who swapped it with me, but it could very well have been Lucy-LOL! I hated to see Lovely as a Tree retire, but I am so glad the Stampin’ UP! team designer gave us Rooted in Nature, which inspired this card.

The card base is made with our crumb cake cardstock with a layer of Early Expresso on top. The Shaded Spruce, Old Olive and Early Espresso inks really makes a bold statement. I hope you create something beautiful today. Stamping Hugs and Blessings!

Oh Nuts, it’s Fall!

300+ Best old like me images | bones funny, humor, funny quotes

Did I mention that I love fall! Great, but what I don’t like is how the squirrels seem to be taking over my neighborhood. With fall brings all kinds of nuts! LOL Although, I do have to admit the baby squirrels are so cute.

So to help you get your Fall on, here is a cute card I created using the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. It’s on SALE now through October 31, 2020. The apple is from the Harvest Hello Set. I love how welcoming the combination of Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler is with this plaid pattern. Have a great fall day and enjoy the weather despite the many family of squirrels that seem to be wondering about! Create something wonderful today! Stamping Hugs and Blessings!
