Art Gallery Bundle Thinking of You

Spring is just around the corner and if you have the Art Gallery bundle then you know that beauty is already in bloom in your craft room. These two-step flower stamps look great in every color and my card today features Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.

  • Begin with a Basic White base that measures 5½ x 8½. In landscape position, (aka the long side) score at 4¼”.  Fold and burnish.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 1/4” piece of Highland Heather cardstock and use the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine, dry emboss it using the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and attach it to the card front.
  • Cut a Basic White oval using the Layering Oval dies and layer it in the center of the card front on the Highland Heather panel.
  • Stamp the leaves in Mossy Meadow and the two step flower stamps in Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape, cutting them out using the dies in the Art Gallery bundle and attach to the oval.
  • Stamp the greeting in Gorgeous Grape ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and crop with the coordinating rippled die.
  • Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the greeting to the lower portion of the oval.
  • Add three Pastel Pearls to complete your masterpiece.  The Pastel Pearls are picture on page 19 in the January-June 2021 catalog.

Don’t forget about the designer series paper and all the pretty painted patterns just bursting with color. It is also a great way to add color to your projects.

Thinking of You-Framed for You!

This simple Thinking of you card is so full of color and was created using the Framed for You stamp set in the annual catalog on page 47. I just know my mother-in-law will enjoy this one. I am not sure how much I will use the frame stamp, but for sure all the other one. This particular set what Stampin’ Up! calls a is “Distinkive” stamp.

These stamps start with a photograph and is turned into a photorealistic red rubber stamp! This innovative stamp style allows you to create images with depth by simply inking and stamping once. The detail is beautiful and you can find these stamps in the catalog by looking for the green scalloped circle marked Dist INK tive!

Now you all know that I like a saucy ink pad, but one quick tip when using the Dist-ink-tive stamps, especially the larger images is to apply even pressure on the stamp and not have a saucy ink pad! If your ink pad is too saucy, the detail of the stamp will be lost.

  • Begin with a Poppy Parade card base 5 ½ x 8 ½. Score in landscape position at 4 ¼”.
  • Next add a Basic Black layer, 3 7/8 x 5 1/8”
  • On a 3 ¾ x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock stamp the leaves in Garden Green ink up the left side of the layer. Using the fern stamp, add a layer of sprigs, stamping off first to create a lighter image.
  • The greeting is stamped in Memento Black on Basic White cardstock and punched out using the Rectangular Postage Punch on page 168 in the annual catalog.
  • Next add some Poppy Parade flowers along the leaves.
  • Add a layer of Black and Poppy Parade to the image and attach to the card front.

For the inside cut a 4 x 5 ¼” layer of White cardstock and again the leaves, ferns and flowers along either the bottom as pictured here or go crazy and create something new! Remember, there are no mistakes in stamping, only creative opportunities!

I hope enjoyed today’s card and stop back tomorrow for some more crafting inspiration. I am not sure what the weather is like in your neighborhood, but here is St. Louis we are calling for a bit of snow. Looks like another cold day, I guess I will have to stay tucked in my craft room! Yay!

Coffee Anyone?

Ok so I just have to take a little holiday break and enjoy one of my other favorite things…..COFFEE! So you got it, today is going to be just as the card indicates, although I am not totally sure about the awesome part!

This bundle, Nothing’s Better Than, was created by Connie Stewart and I just love it! I think the coffee cups are very retro. My card base is blushing bride and I have a 4 5 1/4″ layer of white on top. There are quite a few layers under my whimsical coffee cups. The colors I used are Whisper White, Mint Macroon, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake. I stamped the cups in those same colors and stamped the outline of each cup in Soft Suede.

The sentiment is stamped in Memento black, “And be Awesome” is mounted on Blushing Bride cardstock (3/8 x 1 3/4″). I used the coffee die from the bundle and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine using some Soft Suede cardstock.

The layer measurements for the stamped coffee cups are as follows: Mint Macroon-1 3/4 x5 1/4″, Blushing Bride-1 5/8 x 5 1/8″, Crumb Cake-1 1/2×5″, and Whisper White-1 3/8 x 4 7/8″. This is a really fun set and I hope you will check it out. It is on page 91 in the annual catalog.

I hope that you get a chance to drink coffee and be awesome today. If you don’t like coffee, there is always water! Right?

If you decide you cannot live without this set, then please use the host code: 9EDAFR74 If your order is more than $150, then skip the code and you will get the Stampin’ Rewards for your order!

Thanks for stopping by! I do hope that you will come back tomorrow to see another card creation. Until then, be Blessed!

November Brings Indian Summer!

The weather here in St. Louis has been absolutely gorgeous. Yesterday it was a balmy 78 degrees, which is unusual for this time of year. Here in the Mid-west we call that Indian Summer, which is fine by me and I’ll take it as long as I can.

My husband and I just got back from an amazing visit to Virginia Beach to see his Mom. The visit and the weather were both perfect. We even got a chance to walk along the oceanfront boardwalk with my sister and brother-in-law. It was perfect, so warm and beautiful! This spring like weather has inspired me to post flowers instead of snow drifts!

I started with a card base of Misty Moonlight and added some square layers of Whisper White (3.5x 3.5) and Misty Moonlight (3.25 x3.25) cardstock. I then added a 3 x3″ square of the Flowers for All Seasons Designer Series paper.

In Misty Moonlight ink, I stamped the Thinking of You (Many Mates set) on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and using the Heart Punch Pack, punched it out with the smooth heart. I adhered this greeting to the scalloped heart, punched from Misty Moonlight cardstock using the other heart in the punch pack. For a delicate finish I added three large pearls to the left of my heart.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed this project. Feel free to leave a comment. As always I would love to hear from you and if you place an order that is less that $150, don’t forget to use the host code:  4SFDFVEX

Curvy Celebration Meets Happy Fall Y’ All!

I can’t wait for you all to purchase the curvy celebration bundle, it is so much fun and I love all the different design possibilities. Today’s card was cased from Windy Ellard a fellow demonstrator, who used the Beautiful Autumn Bundle to put a real Fall-like spin on the curve. I was going to tweak it a bit, but decided it is perfectly adorable just the way it is. Thank you Windy for sharing your talents with all of us! Click Here to see Windy’s original card.

To create this card at home begin with a Very Vanilla card base and cut two pieces of Cinnamon Cider cardstock with the curvy dies. Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow along the curve of the Very Vanilla cardstock. I love how Windy used the punches from the Beautiful Autumn Bundle to add some dimension. Just stamp and punch! The ink colors needed are Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Cinnamon Cider and Cajun Craze. I layered all the leaves and acorns along the curve using our Tombow liquid glue.

For the inside of my card I stamped the sentiment from the bundle in Cajun Craze and added a few Fall punches that I had left over from creating the front side. Tip: To get the lighter shade on the acorn, I stamped off using the Cinnamon Cider ink and the stamped with full strength ink for the top of the acorn. Did you know, that the Curvy Celebration also has a Variety bundle that includes a Christmas Stamp Set and some fun 6 x 6 Christmas Classic Designer Series Paper? Fun. Right?

Coming November 3rd!

The Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper features Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Shaded Spruce and Whisper White. I hope you will stop by tomorrow for some more crazy curvy fun! Who knows, you might even see that Classic Christmas paper. Feel free to leave a comment. Stamp Bundles will be available here on November 3rd. All other supplies can be purchased now. Courageous, Faithful and Strong!

Today’s post title perfectly describes a dear friend of mine, Lucy. I got this card in a card swap and I cannot remember who swapped it with me, but it could very well have been Lucy-LOL! I hated to see Lovely as a Tree retire, but I am so glad the Stampin’ UP! team designer gave us Rooted in Nature, which inspired this card.

The card base is made with our crumb cake cardstock with a layer of Early Expresso on top. The Shaded Spruce, Old Olive and Early Espresso inks really makes a bold statement. I hope you create something beautiful today. Stamping Hugs and Blessings!
