Take up Your Cross-Sunday Wisdom

In today’s gospel Jesus invites us to experience a deeper understanding of our journey of faith through detachment. Jesus invites us to take up our cross and journey with him and in doing so, we mature in our faith. He did not promise that it would be easy, in fact, he warns us of many obstacles. We will make mistakes and we will have times of sorrow, but when we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, joy will come. When we detach from the things or the people that hinder our relationship with the Lord, we find that God’s grace is enough.

A Witches Hat Boo-Favorite Things Friday!

Fall-Halloween-Thanksgiving Cards, Favorite Things Friday / September 2, 2022

I realize that Fall is technically a month away, but hey September is here and I am excited to share with you my card today that features one of my favorite Halloween bundles in the July thru December 2022 holiday catalog, the Bewitching Bundle.

Really my card is all about the Witches Hat punch from that bundle. I used the punch to create a Black, Granny Apple Green and Pumpkin Pie Witches Hat.

I started with a Soft Suede card base and added a layer of Basic White. I used the dies to cut a few Soft Suede branches, some apples and additional apple blossoms. I colored the Apples with Real Red Stampin’ Blends and the leaves and apple blossoms with colored pencils.

Stylish Sketches-Sale-a-Brations!

Masculine Cards, Sale-a-Bration, Thinking of You / August 30, 2022

Hey all, tomorrow is the last day for our Summer Sale-A-Brations for 2022. Final chance to earn free products. Yesterday I shared a slimline card using the HIppest HIppos in my Make It Monday video and today you get a cute little fox from Stylish Sketches. I used some of the designer series paper in the Boughs of Holly paper pack to accent our little fox.

I used Cajun Craze for my card base, stamped the fox on a piece of Crumb Cake CS and colored him with our watercolor pencils. The greeting is from Garden Birdhouses and is stamped in Memento Black inl.
