Today’s post title perfectly describes a dear friend of mine, Lucy. I got this card in a card swap and I cannot remember who swapped it with me, but it could very well have been Lucy-LOL! I hated to see Lovely as a Tree retire, but I am so glad the Stampin’ UP! team designer gave us Rooted in Nature, which inspired this card.

The card base is made with our crumb cake cardstock with a layer of Early Expresso on top. The Shaded Spruce, Old Olive and Early Espresso inks really makes a bold statement. I hope you create something beautiful today. Stamping Hugs and Blessings!

Ok I admit I am Falling in love or should I say I have fallen in love with the Forever Fern set! It makes the perfect fall fern card. I just love how the colors of pear pizzazz and shaded spruce blend. Throw in a pop of Soft Suede and you have a fall card that is perfect to make someone’s day. Create something beautiful! Did I mention that I love fall! Great, but what I don’t like is how the squirrels seem to be taking over my neighborhood. With fall brings all kinds of nuts! LOL Although, I do have to admit the baby squirrels are so cute.

So to help you get your Fall on, here is a cute card I created using the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. It’s on SALE now through October 31, 2020. The apple is from the Harvest Hello Set. I love how welcoming the combination of Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler is with this plaid pattern. Another beautiful fall day!

I am not sure if you love the changing of the seasons, but fall is so pretty this time of year. Yesterday the blustery winds reminded me of a Winnie the Pooh video! The card for today was inspired by all the leaves swirling around outside my craft room window, though I believe God’s beauty turned out much better than mine. I used the Gather Together stamp set from the August-December mini and the Plaid Tidings Designer Series paper, which by the way is still on SALE through the end of October. A Season to be Thankful!

The leaves are turning and soon it will be fall. My life has been blessed with an amazing husband, two great kids and many wonderful friends. While everyday is an opportunity to be grateful for our blessings, fall just brings on that hope of a new season and the anticipation of sharing a Thanksgiving meal with loved ones. Sunday Wisdom / October 11, 2020

My prayer today if for all who are suffering, especially those who feel alone. Lord grant us wisdom to act with kindness. If we lack wisdom about certain things in life, then just ask God. Get to know Him intimately, and trust Him to give knowledge, wisdom and understanding. We will encounter a lot of different people in our life time. God’s Word instructs us to love and treat strangers of other cultures with respect. It is never too late to share the love of Christ with others. Remember, regardless of how insignificant we feel our God-given talents are, we must walk worthy, using our gifts to glorify God and build up Kingdom of heaven. As Mother Teresa so lovingly stated, “If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” Have a blessed day!

Happy Fall Y’all!

While we are only 75 days away from Christmas, we are still in the Fall season and I love fall. I love the colors of the leaves and the crisp cool mornings. Here in St. Louis we get a lot of humidity, so the fall coolness is always a welcome treat. And speaking of treats, you have to love those caramel apples, the fresh apple cider and of’ course homemade applesauce. My Grandma Dorothy made the best homemade apple sauce, God rest her soul. To tell the truth once I had her homemade goodness I was never able to have store bought applesauce again. She also made the most amazing pumpkin squares and homemade caramel popcorn. Maybe I love the fall treats as much as the cool weather. Here is a fall treat for you. I hope you enjoy. I made this card using the Harvest Hellos #150581 in our annual catalog. Yes, that is right folks…..the weather is getting cooler here in St. Louis and while Halloween is just around the corner, it is time to think about planning out your Christmas Cards. There are just 76 days until Christmas. It is not time to break out the decorations just yet, but I think now more than ever we all need a little holiday cheer and we definitely need to bring back the tradition of mailing out Christmas cards. What could be better than receiving a homemade card in the mail….gotta love it!

Thank You / October 8, 2020 / Butterfly Gala

It doesn’t take much effort to thank someone and yet, that could very well be the best part of their day. Whenever we take the time to acknowledge the efforts of someone else, not only are their spirits lifted, but ours as well. My husband and I always tried to instill a sense of gratitude in our children, first to our Lord and Savior, but also to others for the gifts they often bring to the table. It is never too late to send a thank you and one can send a note of thanks for almost anything, including a valued friendship. So go ahead and copy this card and send a thank you to someone today.
