Spring Stamping With Friends-Favorite Things Friday!

Good morning all, not only is it Friday but it is time for another card class at Mother of Good Counsel Home, an assisted living/nursing care center in my neighborhood. It is run by the Franciscan Sisters of the Martyr St. George and it is one of my favorite card classes.

I thought I would share with you the three cards that I created for today’s class. I try to keep things as simple as I can as I typically have 10 residents attend. Some of the products you see are retired, others are not, but hey at least you get the card idea-right?

Card #1

I created the Eggs ahead of time so all the residents had to do was add them to the card front. Sorry my image looks a little dull at the bottom, I must have gotten some excess glue on it. Oh well, homemade, right?

Card #2

Stamp Set: Something Fancy

This is one of those fracture cards. I thought it would be fun and maybe just a bit too intricate, so I created the front panel ahead of time and all they have to do is stamp the thank you and add the panel to the card front. Easy Peasy!

Stamp Set: Good Feelings

This is a super easy but totally cool one. It is hard to see in the photo but there is a glitter stripe next to all the colors. I think they will like the extra bling! I hope you pull out your crafting supplies and create a card to bless someone today. Happy Stamping. Don’t forget about the retiring stamp sets, paper, tools, and bling in the mini and annual catalogs. CLICK HERE if you missed that post.

Excellent Eggs-Hello Spring!

Happy Wednesday! I just love it when we are half way to the weekend and this weekend in St. Louis, the weather is supposed to sunny! What more could a girl ask for. If you are planning on working on your Easter cards then be sure to check out Monday’s Make It Monday video for three fun Easter cards and today I am sharing a Happy Spring card using the new Excellent Egg Bundle in the January – April 2024 mini catalog.

The dies in the bundle are amazing and perfect for creating Easter Egg magic. I began my card with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Lost Lagoon. The Easter Egg was created using Basic White, Lost Lagoon, and Bubble Bath. I stamped the bunny in Early Espresso and used a blender pen to color him with a blend of Early Espresso and Crumb Cake for that special chocolate bunny. Add a little bling and your card is ready to send.

Excellent Eggs Bundle $43

The possibilities with the dies in this bundle are endless but hurry and purchase yours today as it just might be on the retiring list-who knows. Now is the time to place that last order with all of the bundles you want in the January – April 2024 mini catalog. Remember once that retired list goes live on March 18th, all retiring products will be while supplies last. Happy Stamping!

Sneak Peek-Beauty of Friendship!

As promised in my post yesterday, here is another sneak peek at one of the new bundles that will be featured in the new catalog and available for purchase on May 4th. This is the Beauty of Friendship Bundle. The trees are spectacular. I featured a spring/summer time tree, but you could easily turn this into a fall or winter scene.

The new catalog will also feature 5 new In-Colors. I am using two of them today and they both coordinate well with Cinnamon Cider, which is a current In-Color. Yay! The new colors that I used are Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. The cardstock is also Evening Evergreen.

Supplies

  • Evening Evergreen Card Base- 5½ x 8½”
  • Cinnamon Cider Cardstock-4 x 5¼
  • Basic White Cardstock- 3¾ x 5,  4 x 5¼ (inside)
  • Beauty of Friendship Bundle-new
  • High Tide Stamp Set
  • Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent,  Misty Moonlight, and Cinnamon Cider Ink

Directions

  • Score Evening Evergreen cardstock  along 8½ “side at 4 ¼”  to create card base
  • Attach Cinnamon Cider panel to card front
  • Stamp the tree in Cinnamon Cider ink, the leaves in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent in on the white cardstock.
  • Stamp the greeting in Evening Evergreen and the birds from High Tide in Misty Moonlight ink.
  • Under the tree and along the bottom of the cards stamp the grass image in Soft Succulent ink.
  • Attach the white panel to the card front
  • Add a white layer on the inside of the card and decorate as desired.
