Curvy Celebration Meets Happy Fall Y’ All!

I can’t wait for you all to purchase the curvy celebration bundle, it is so much fun and I love all the different design possibilities. Today’s card was cased from Windy Ellard a fellow demonstrator, who used the Beautiful Autumn Bundle to put a real Fall-like spin on the curve. I was going to tweak it a bit, but decided it is perfectly adorable just the way it is. Thank you Windy for sharing your talents with all of us! Click Here to see Windy’s original card.

To create this card at home begin with a Very Vanilla card base and cut two pieces of Cinnamon Cider cardstock with the curvy dies. Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow along the curve of the Very Vanilla cardstock. I love how Windy used the punches from the Beautiful Autumn Bundle to add some dimension. Just stamp and punch! The ink colors needed are Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, Cinnamon Cider and Cajun Craze. I layered all the leaves and acorns along the curve using our Tombow liquid glue.

For the inside of my card I stamped the sentiment from the bundle in Cajun Craze and added a few Fall punches that I had left over from creating the front side. Tip: To get the lighter shade on the acorn, I stamped off using the Cinnamon Cider ink and the stamped with full strength ink for the top of the acorn. Did you know, that the Curvy Celebration also has a Variety bundle that includes a Christmas Stamp Set and some fun 6 x 6 Christmas Classic Designer Series Paper? Fun. Right?

Coming November 3rd!

The Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper features Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Shaded Spruce and Whisper White. I hope you will stop by tomorrow for some more crazy curvy fun! Who knows, you might even see that Classic Christmas paper. Feel free to leave a comment. Stamp Bundles will be available here on November 3rd. All other supplies can be purchased now. Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae

Announcing the Curvy Celebration Bundle!

Good morning crafters and stampers. I am so excited to announce that the Curvy Celebration bundle is coming soon! Celebrate with curvy stamps, dies and more! Designed for a variety of special occasions, the Quite Curvy Variety Bundle includes everything you need to create one-of-a-kind crafts. This bundle will be available for purchase from November 3rd through January 4th! As a demonstrator, I was allowed to pre-order this set and it has been so much fun creating new and interesting cards. This set is very versatile and will keep you busy for hours, maybe even days!

Coming November 3rd

For today’s card I started with a Just Jade card base and pulled in the Christmas Flowers from the 6 x6 Flowers for All Seasons Designer Series Paper, 3 x 5 1/4. Using the curvy dies, I cut out a piece of Flirty Flamingo measuring 4 x 5 1/4. I stamped the sentiment from the bundle in Just Jade ink and added some Just Jade sprigs. I fussy cut one of the Christmas flowers with my Paper Snips and for a finishing touch added three gold metallic pearls. It is a simple card to let others know you are thinking about them, especially during this time of the year.

Blessed!

My card today does not use the typical Thanksgiving Holiday colors but was a color challenge I did with Brian King this past summer using So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo and Cinnamon Cider. While the colors are not traditional, the sentiment of feeling blessed is just perfect for this time of year.

Brian is so great with color combos, but this was actually my first ever color challenge and I may have cheated a bit and threw in some green, who knew! I started with a So Saffron card base and added a layer of Cinnamon Cider 4 x 5 1/4. The Flirty Flamingo Layer is cut at 4 5/8 x 3 3/8 and I stamped the rose from To a Wild Rose set on Whisper White using our Flirty Flamingo ink. Two of the roses are stamped directly on the piece of Whisper White and the one in the middle is cut out using the rose die from the bundle.

I stamped the Blessed sentiment in memento black and added some basic jeweled rhinestones. I also decided to decorate the inside of the card with a strip of all the colors in the challenge and some more rhinestones. The leaves are stamped with Old Olive ink and the sentiment is also from the To A Wild Rose set.

I hope you liked this card and feel inspired to use this color combo from Brian King to create something beautiful today. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will leave a comment and stop back tomorrow for some more crafty cards! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae.

Christmas Begins with Christ!

I hope you all are gathering your stamping supplies to create beautiful Christmas Cards to send out to your friends and loved ones. This year with all that has gone on in our world, it is nice to bring a little holiday joy by creating hand-stamped cards. My card today is again using the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper, but instead of the photo side, I opted to use the beautiful silver patterned side to create this elegantly layered card. I absolutely love the way it turned out! I began with a Whisper White card base and added a 4 x 5 1/4″ layer of smoky slate. To that added a Whisper White layer that I embossed with the new Winter Snow Embossing Folder. I cut a 3 x 5 piece of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper and added it to some smoky slate measuring 3 1/4 x 4 1/4.

The sentiment from For Unto Us is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White and cut using the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Stitched Circle Dies and popped with the Stampin’ Dimensionals. Around the layer of Smoky Slate and Feels Like Frost Designer Series layer I tied some Silver Metallic Edge ribbon.

This was a fun card to create and while it took a little more than two minutes to create, I feel the extra time and labor was worth it! Thanks for stopping by today! Feel free to leave a comment. I hope you will join me again tomorrow for another fabulous card surprise! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae.

Sharing A Season of Miracles

Glory, wonder and miracles is what the Holiday seasons are all about and if you are like me than you love the anticipation of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I may not be quite ready for our first snow, but I do love fireplace weather, thinking about pumpkin pie and of’ course making my Christmas shopping list. Today’s simple card is again using the Feels Like Frost 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper and a little rhinestone bling.

I started with a card base using one of our In-colors, Seaside Spray. I love the softness of this color and to me it reflect the freshly fallen snow in the paper. For a little bolder contrast I stamped the greeting in Night of Navy ink and mounted it on a rectangle of some Whisper White cardstock, then layered that on top of some Seaside Spray measuring 7/8″x 4 7/8″. The greeting is from the For Unto Us set.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope this card inspires you to create something beautiful today. Stop by tomorrow for a little more challenging card using the silver patterned side of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper.

First Snow begins with Feels like Frost!

Today’s card was created using the Feels Like Frost 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. I love this beautiful printed paper and how easy it is to create an elegant card in just a few minutes. I began with a Night of Navy card base and added a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of the Feels Like Frost paper, stamped the greeting from the For Unto Us stamp set in Night of Navy ink and added a little bling using our basic jeweled rhinestones. It truly was that simple.

One tip to keep in mind when using this printed paper is to pay attention to the pattern or image when you cut so the image is in the correct orientation. This was such a simple card and it literally took only a few minutes to create. I think the hardest part was trying to decide which sentiment to use from the For Unto Us set because I love them all. LOL

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join me tomorrow for another super simple creation using our Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. Feel free to leave a comment, I’d love to know what you think! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae.

Sunday Wisdom 3

Happy Sunday! I truly believe the ultimate purpose of our existence is to love one another and to enjoy the gifts our Lord has bestowed upon us.  For me, one of those gifts is crafting and I love creating things to bless others.  I hope in my small way I am making a difference in the lives of others. I know it is not much, just a hand-made card, but it is truly is crafted with love and that brings me great joy.

For love to be pure, it must be freed from all selfishness.  Pure love looks only at the one being loved.  That is super easy when it comes to loving my husband, but at times, not so much when it comes to loving myself. So it is during those times that I just take a deep breath and try to focus only on God’s greatness and beauty, then I discover something quite glorious.

A Grateful Heart!

Sometimes I am amazed at how blessed I am. The Lord has been good to me and while sure there have been struggles and challenges, I am grateful for my wonderful family and the many friends I have made because of crafting. This time of year as the leaves begin to change colors and the cool crisp air returns, I am grateful for seasons. Some people think the Midwest is a boring place to live, but I love it! My card today was inspired by the changing seasons and the swirling winds outside my craft room window.

I started with a Pretty Peacock card base and a layer of very vanilla. The strip on the bottom is a 2 x 4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Series paper. I used the Beautiful Autumn bundle to create the falling leaves, the acorn and the sentiment. I added a simple strip of Bumblebee and Early Expresso cardstock to bring out the colors in the plaid. I hope you enjoy the card and get inspired to create something beautiful. Feel free to leave a comment. I love hearing from you! Thanks for stopping by. Stamping Hugs and Blessing, Renae.

Happy Anniversary!

So yesterday was my 32nd Wedding Anniversary and this is the card that I gave to the love of my life. I thought the pumpkins were so appropriate for this time of year. I used the Pumpkin Pie blends to color the pumpkins from the Gather Together Bundle and cut them out with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. The sentiment is from Well Said and of’ course I could not resist using the Plaid Tiding Designer Series Paper again.

I used a Cajun Craze card base, cut a triangle of the Plaid Tidings Designer series paper, and layered all on some Very Vanilla cardstock. I decided to go with the square greeting to help balance my many round pumpkins. I hope you will stop back tomorrow for some more fall fun! Stamping Hugs and Blessings, Renae.

Season of Thanks!

Remember yesterday when Brian King said prepare yourself for Autumn landscapes, warm colors and sweet reminders of all the reasons we have to be grateful this time of year. Well those words inspired this Fall/Thanksgiving card! Again I used the Merry Merlot for a card base. The leaves are cut out with the dies included in the Gather Together Bundle, with Garden Green, Merry Merlot and Cinnamon Cider cardstock.

You may not realize it from the picture, but I cut out the fancy scallop frame using two of the dies from the layering oval dies and stamped the sentiment directly on the cardstock. This helps keep the bulk of the card down, especially if you are sending it in the mail. Again I added the gold metallic pearls. It is truly amazing how a little bling pulls a card together. I hope you enjoyed the Blog Hop yesterday, it was my first one and it was so much fun. Thanks to all my teammates for posting such amazing card designs. I truly am blessed. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back tomorrow. Until then, stamping hugs and blessings! Renae
