Whiskey Business Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad’s 85th birthday and I am sure with losing my mom in June, this will be a difficult day for him, not that all days are not difficult. We are planning to go to 7 a.m. Mass this morning and then take him out for breakfast. Some of my siblings will be joining us, so it should be a fun celebration.

I used a the light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend Marker to color some definition on the canister and glasses. For the whiskey I used the light So Saffron and Cajun Craze. The greeting is stamped in Early Espresso and cropped with one of the circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies. The Cajun Craze panel is embossing with the Timber 3-D folder.

I decided to use the Happy Birthday from Happiness Abounds. I really love the combo of print and cursive on a greeting.

I really hope my Dad enjoys this card and his Birthday breakfast! Happy Birthday Dad I love you. I know Mom is looking down on you from heaven, so it is bound to be a perfect day!

Honeybee Home Bundle

I hope you all had a great holiday. I was a bit under the weather the past few weeks, and am tying to get my crafting mojo back. Nothing like some seasonal allergies in the dead of winter to make a body lazy. Today I am featuring the Honeybee Home Bundle from the annual catalog. Yes, I am seriously trying to keep my New Year’s promise to feature more annual catalog sets! Like all New Year’s Resolutions, it is pretty early so I am going to do my best to stay faithful to posting at least 2 cards a month that feature the annual catalog.

I created the white oval using one of the dies in the Framed Florets Bundle. These are fantastic dies and I really miss our oval dies, so I am sure I will be using the center of these dies a lot. The paper is the Starry Night design from the Dainty Flowers. I love how this designer paper pack has great flowers for that stand alone card, as well as, some fun colored designs for creating cards like the one today.

Nestled Friends-Favorite Things Friday!

Favorite Things Friday, Thank You / January 6, 2023

I am really going to make an effort this month to feature more of our In-Colors. We have so many fabulous colors, sometimes I forget about the In-Colors. Today’s card was created using Tahitian Tide. I sponged some of the color around the greeting and attached it to my card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sweet set is the Nestled Friends Bundle from the January-April mini catalog. If you are a bird lover, this set is for you and I think you are really going to love the detailed dies for the birds nest. I colored my bird, nest and branches using watercolor pencisl

The eggs are cut using the dies in the bundle from Balmy Blue because I thought the Tahitian Tide was a bit too bright for a robin’s egg. Don’t forget you can use the Blender Pens to blend your coloring!

Willow Tree Anniversary

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year. It is always wonderful to spend time with family and friends. I do love the holidays and it is always hard getting back into the swing of a regular routine, so today I thought I would share an anniversary card using the Willow Tree Bundle in the annual catalog.

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to share at least three cards a month that features a stamp set or bundle from the annual catalog. I love having the holiday mini and the spring mini catalogs, but sometimes I tend to ignore all the wonderful sets in our main catalog.

Love Cats!

Just Because Cards / January 3, 2023

While it is true, Christmas is over, the lights are still twinkling and joy is still in the air, at least at my house! So I thought it would be good to remind you that there are only 2 days left to order from the holiday mini catalog. If you are like me then you already have most everything from that catalog, but just in case you are a last minute shopper, tomorrow is the last day!

It is always sad to say good-bye to our Christmas sets, but don’t despair because spring is just around the bend and to cheer us on we have the new “Spring Mini” and the January-February 2023 SALE-A-BRATIONS catalogs. That’s right folks! This Thursday, January 5th, the spring mini goes live and you can begin earning free products for every $50 you spend.
