Layering is a technique used to add dimension and texture to our creations. By combining different papers, textures, and embellishments, layering can guide a viewer’s eye by creating visual cues that strategically highlight focal points. While this is not a 5 minute card technique, it really does not take long to add the differently layers to your floral image. It does take a bit of patience to let the template do all the work, I am sure you will not be disappointed, as creating these layers is simple and if you take the time to add each layer I am sure you will be amazed with the artistic result. Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you are all surrounded by the love of God, family and friends. I am not particularly big into Valentine’s Day but I thought I would share a fun love card today that you can use for Valentine’s Day, a wedding celebration or even that special anniversary. I am using the Lifetime of Love Bundle from the January – April 2024 mini catalog.
I started with a Lost Lagoon card base and added a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock. But before I added the Very Vanilla layer, I used a blending brush and some Lost Lagoon ink to add a layer of color at the bottom of my card. You can use masking paper, painters tape, or washi tape so whichever way you go do make sure that you secure your Very Vanilla layer so you get a clean line.
Adding a layer of color with a blending brush is a super easy way to step up your card front. My only advice for doing this is to be patient. Adding color with a stamping sponge, sponge dauber or a blending brush takes time and your project will turn out best if you use a soft touch add layer after layer of color until you get the shade of darkness you desire.
For some reason I failed to order the dies with my order so of course my stamped images are fussy cut, but you can add the bundle and save 10% which is a win, win because you will save time cutting out the pieces. Good think I like to fussy cut. I added some colored pearls just for a little bling and while I added a layer of Very Vanilla to the inside I did not add a greeting. I have not decided yet if this is going to be a wedding or an anniversary card. Happy Stamping!

Jungle Pals Stamp Set and Dies

These little jungle pals make great birthday cards. The sweet toucan bird is my absolute favorite. The alligator is cute too but seriously only in this stamped image because a real alligator is more dark brown then green. After all they do live in the swamp.
You can color these sweet critters with our Stampin Blend markers or watercolor pencils. Be sure to add a pack of the Blender pens to your stamping stash, they make water coloring so much more fun! Have fun playing around with the combos for the perfect shading. Happy Stamping!

Happy Monday! It is time for another Make It Monday video tutorial and today I am sharing three cards that I created using the Country Bouquet Punch. Two of the cards are traditional heart cards, great for Valentine’s Day or that special Anniversary. You could even change up the greetings and make them wedding cards.
My third card is a more out of the box card. I created some tulip looking flowers from the leaf portion of the Country Bouquet punch. I hope you have fun creating with this punch. Happy Wednesday. Today I am featuring one of our designer series paper packs in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog, Countryside Inn. The colors featured in this paper are Balmy Blue, Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight, and Night of Navy. This paper pack is featured on page 129 in the AC catalog. I combined this paper pack with a one of the new bundles in the January 2024 mini catalog, Perennial Postage.
I began with a Basic White card, added a panel of Night of Navy, followed by a panel of the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. I used the flip side of this paper to create the greeting tag, cropping it with one of the Perennial Postage dies. The greeting is stamped with silver ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.
I think you will love the versatility of this new bundle. The dies are great for creating cards and scrapbook pages. Have fun playing with all these blues and creating with the new postage dies. Happy Stamping!

Today I created a pitcher of iced tea with the so Refreshing Bundle and the new color Pecan Pie. I am not sure what is it like in your neighborhood, but it is really hot here and today is a perfect day for some refreshing iced tea.
I started with a Pecan Pie card base and added a layer of Basic White, a second layer of Pecan Pie and to the last layer of Basic White I stamped the greeting in Pecan Pie ink. On some scraps of Basic White I stamped the pitcher, ice cubes and glasses all in Pecan Pie, cropped them with the coordinating dies in the bundle and added them to the card front.
If you are not an iced tea fan, perhaps you are a cold brew fan. This card could easily be sent to a coffee or tea lover. Have fun creating with all the extra dies in this bundle.
