Wow, it is Wednesday already. Where does the time go. I think now that it is getting dark earlier, time seems to be going by quicker. Gone are the lazy days of summer, it is now time to think about the holiday seasons, after all there are only 80 days until Christmas.

To be honest, I am still in the Halloween mode and totally enjoying my decorations. I was amazed today when I stopped by Sam’s all the Halloween decorations are gone and have been replaced with Christmas. I guess if you were waiting to buy that stinkin’ cute spider web, it is too late! Oh well.

Monday I posted a Halloween card and today, it is all about Christmas, but don’t worry, Halloween will be back next week.

Peaceful Christmas-Favorite Things Friday

Well friends, it is Friday again and one of my favorite things next to Fridays would have to be the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper that is featured in the August-September Sale-a-bration brochure. It is just one of the amazing paper packs that you can get free with a $50 order. But hurry, this offer is only available through September 30th.

Here is a clean and simple Christmas card I created using the Peaceful Prints paper and the Evergreen Elegance stamp set.

This paper pack is so versatile and some of the images can be cut out with the punch that comes in the Peaceful Deer Bundle. Here is a closer look! I just love the coordination of this bundle. And those trees are the perfect size for any holiday scene.

Supplies

  • Cherry Cobbler CS- 5½ x 8½ (card base)
  • Basic Black CS-3¼ x 4¼
  • Basic White CS- 4 x 5¼
  • Peaceful Prints DSP- 3 x 4
  • Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set
  • Memento Black Ink
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive

Directions

  • Score card base in landscape position (aka longer side) at 4¼. Fold and burnish to create card.
  • Attach 3 x 4 piece of Peaceful Prints DSP to Black CS panel and attach to front of card front. 
  • Stamp Merry Christmas from Evergreen Elegance in Memento Black ink.
  • Add 4 x 5¼ White CS to inside and decorate as desired.

The Beauty of Trees

Today’s card features the trees from Evergreen Elegance and the Designer Series paper from Beauty of the Earth. I love how these trees can be used for a variety of cards, not to mention how calming a tree scenery can be.

You could easily change the sentiment to be Thinking of You, With Sympathy or even Happy Birthday for a more manly card.

All Measurement=inches  CS=Cardstock DSP=Designer Series Paper  Landscape Position=Long side   Portrait Position=short side

Supplies

  • Crumb Cake CS-5 ½ x 8 ½ (card)
  • Garden Green CS- 4 x 5 ¼
  • Early Espresso CS- 3 ¾ x 5
  • Garden Green Ink
  • Early Espresso Ink
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive

This was a super simple card with several layers of cardstock. I stamped the fatter evergreen tree in Garden Green ink and then stamped a second generation stamp without re-inking directly on the Beauty of the Earth DSP. The Merry Christmas from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set is stamped in Early Espresso Ink.
