Fresh As A Daisy ~ Favorite Things Friday!

Hey there my stamping friends. I am back today with another favorite designer series paper pack from the 2023-2024 annual catalog, Fresh As A Daisy. This amazing paper pack with make card making an daisies just happens to be one of my favorite flowers.

I love the softness of the Boho Blossom daisies in this paper and so I started with a Boho Blossom card base. I chose Cajun Craze ink to compliment the background color in this sheet of designer series paper.

I used the dies in the Perennial Postage bundle to crop a Boho Bloom and Basic White layer. The greeting that I stamped with Cajun Craze ink is from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set.

I guess you can already tell that one of my favorite new bundles is the Perennial Postage Bundle. Get a free Sale-a-Bration stamp set or paper pack when you place an order for this bundle or any $50 order. Just click on the images below. Happy Stamping!

Flowers in the Winter-Painted Lavender!

I thought since it is really rainy and snowy this week having a pop of spring would be nice. Flowers are always fun, no matter what the season. This summer my husband and I planted some Knock Out Roses, mainly because I don’t have a green thumb and I heard these were virtually indestructible. Well, three out of the five plants began to bloom and this past week even though the temperatures were very cold, one single rose appeared. I think that was my mom giving me a sign from heaven that she is still watching over all of us.

Today I am sharing a card I made with the new Painted Lavender Bundle. I did not actually use any of the dies from the bundle, just the stamps and a greeting from Timeless Arrangements. Cards flowers are the best, because they always look good, cost relatively little investment and are definitely indestructible. LOL

I began with an Orchid Oasis card base and stamped two lavender leaves with Orchid Oasis ink on a 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White CS, mounted it on a layer of Orchid Oasis, then another Basic White panel and finally to the card front. I stamped some leaves with Old Olive ink, but stamped off first using the second generation as my image. I also stamped some of the grass at the bottom.

The greeting is stamped in Orchid Oasis, mounted on a 5/8 x 2-1/2 panel of Orchid Oasis CS and attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This would also make a fabulous Easter card!

The Painted Lavender Bundle is new in the 2024 January Mini Catalog and very popular as it is already on Low Inventory. Order yours today and add a pack of paper to get a free Sale-A-Bration product of your choice. Happy Stamping!

Oh Happy Day! Playing in the Rain

I just love that stinkin’ cute turtle from our Playing in the Rain stamp set, not to mention the cloud stamps and dies. Just add a little color with our Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers and this card really comes to life. I used a blending brush and some of the Azure Afternoon ink to create the blue sky. The flowers are colored with a Daffodil Delight Blend marker.

I started with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Azure Afternoon blue to match the sky. The clouds are stamped in Smoky Slate and the turtle, flowers and greeting in Memento Black ink. I used the Crumb Cake and Old Olive Blends to color the turtle. He is so sweet, just look at that face. I created the grass freehand with Old Olive and Granny Apple Green Blends.

I am not sure what the weather is like in your neighborhood, but our forecast here is calling for clear skies and a high of 90. Looks like this is the perfect card for my neighborhood. Happy Stamping!

An Alphabest “HI”

Here is a fun card using the Alphabest stamp set pictured on page 166 in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. The coordinating Best Label Punch was used to add a little dimension to this project. This card works best as a square card and you can change up the colors to reflect your favorite palette.

The base of this card was created by dry embossing the card front using the Strips and Splatter Embossing Folder. Once you decide how big you want the card base to be, cut a Basic White pane 1/4-1/2″ smaller depending on how big of a border you want. My square envelopes measure 5¾ x 5¾, so my card base measures 5½ x 5½ and my white panel is 5 x 5.

Stamp in desired colors and punch with the Best Label punch. My card is stamped with Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Soft Sea Foam. The border for “Hi” is stamped with Memento Black ink. You can use rhinestones, sequins, pearls or whatever bling you have on hand to create a fun look on your card.

I hope this card inspires you to think outside the box and still create something beautiful. Happy Stamping!
