Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop! This is a great time of year to build your stash of handmade birthday cards, so we are sharing birthday-themed projects with you today. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My cards for this month’s blog hop feature the Artistically Inked Bundle in the 2021-2022 annual catalog. I had so much fun creating with this bundle, I couldn’t stop myself, so today, I am sharing all three cards with you.
I wanted to create a birthday card using the Gold and Rose Metallic Specialty Paper. You will find this hidden gem on page 135 in the 2021-2022 annual catalog.
Begin with a Very Vanilla card base. Add a 4-1/8 x 5- 3/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock to the card front and a 4 x 5¼ piece of Gold Metallic CS. I used the Stamparatus to add the greeting in Memento Black Ink to a 3¼ x 4½ piece of Very Vanilla CS. The flower is stamped in one of our new In-colors, Polished Pink. I cropped the leaves and the center of the flower from the Gold Metallic CS.
For my second card I used the left over Gold Metallic CS to crop the leaves and create a strip across the middle of the card front.
I stamped and cropped two flowers in Very Vanilla CS and layered them together with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The bottom section of the card front was created by stamping the marble stamp image and Polished Pink ink on Very Vanilla CS.
My final card is simply stamping. I began with a Gorgeous Grape card based and stamped a variety of floral images at the top and bottom of a Basic White card panel in Gorgeous Grape Ink, Fresh Freesia, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight inks. I added the Happy Birthday greeting from Sweet Ice Cream in Memento Black Ink.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Sue Jackson at Just Peachy Stamping. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

Thank you for hopping along with us. If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up as a guide:
Today’s card was created for my daughter’s roommate, who absolutely loves plants. This is a perfect card for anyone who has a green thumb! I love plants and a well groomed yard, but I am just not good at growing things, so these plants are perfect for me.
I began with a Crumb Cake card base and added a layer of Cajun Craze that I dry embossed with the Brick and Mortar embossing folder. I stamped a few of the pots with Cajun Craze ink and a few with Shaded Spruce. I decided to add a mixture of stamped greenery and Designer Series paper images.
I used Very Vanilla for the hanging pot and added Happy Birthday in Memento Black. This is a really great bundle and while it looks really involved it did not take long to put together. You can choose your plants to be all designer series paper, all stamped images or a combo as I did in the image above. Either way, I am sure your green thumb friends will love it.

My daughter and her roommate live in Chicago and they just got hit with a ton of snow, so I am hoping this fun card filled with lots of summery greenery will be a ray of sunshine for both of them.

Wow, so hard to believe it is already Monday again. Where does the time go? It seems like weekend fly by more quickly than ever. This weekend was particularly quick as I spent most of the weekend in the backyard with my hubby and son splitting wood. Yes, you read that correctly, I got my lumberjack on and helped split wood on Saturday and Sunday.
We had a few trees taken down this summer and decided to keep the wood for our fireplace. Of course we might still be in the backyard if my brother did not come over to help us! Thanks bro!
My card today has nothing to do with being a lumberjack, fireplaces or even winter. I decided to share a bit of spring with you to hopefully get you in the mood for warmer weather! Today’s video tutorial features a new set from the January – June 2022 winter catalog, Wildflower Path.
If you have seen some of my more recent posts then you might be if love with the Awesome Otters Sale-a-bration set. They are so adorable.
Another adorable friends set is the Turtle Friends stamp set in the 2021-2022 annual catalog. You will find this sweet set on page 56. And even better it is a bundle, so you can save 10%.
Don’t forget to apply the host code when ordering: C77FJQM2. Thanks for shopping with me! Have a blessed day!

I stamped the turtle outline and the shell with Garden Green ink and used some Stampin’ Blend Markers to add color. The ground shadows were created with the Crumb Cake Blend Combo.
The greeting is stamped in Memento Black ink on the Granny Apple Green cardstock and layered to the Garden Green and Basic White panels. Clean, simple and quick is always a favorite. This sweet card was super easy and quick card which makes it the perfect go-to card for birthday favorites!

Today’s card features the Flowing Flower stamp set in the January – June 2022 mini catalog. It is one of those amazing distinctive ink sets. I just love the details on these images.
I began my card with a Blackberry Bliss card base and added another layer of Blackberry Bliss that I dry embossed by running it through the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine using the Tasteful Textures embossing folder.
The greeting is from Flowing Flower, stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink, cropped with the Layering Circle dies and mounted on Blackberry Bliss and Crushed Curry cardstock and then attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The ribbon across the upper half of the card was from my retired ribbon stash, so if you do not have that, you can just add a strip of Crushed Curry cardstock instead
