Happy Birthday

Jungle Pals Favorite Things Friday!

Happy Friday everyone. We are in the final days of our Sale-A-bration Sale and now is the time to add those Sale-A-Brations products to your stamping supplies. For every $50 you order online through my store you will recieve a free Sale-A-Bration stamp set, paper pack, or some fun bling. Today I am sharing two products from the Jungle Pals bundle. These cute little critters are just waiting to make your next project a hit.

JUNGLE PALS

This card came together fast as the Jungle Dies made it super easy. I cropped the tree using some Pecan Pie cardstock and the leaves and jungle grass with Garden Green cardstock. Our little hanging friend was stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with some watercolor pencils. I used the Early Espresso pencil and a blender pen to create the shading.

The Happiest of Birthday is from Throughout the Year and stamped with Pecan Pie ink. It looks a little crooked. LOL I promise I did not have a glass of Chardonnay while creating this card, although maybe that would have helped. Anyway it is homemade right. I am sure whomever receives this hanging friend will not mind. I think it reminds us that being perfect is so overrated! Happy Stamping!

Everyday Details Dies-Happy Birthday

Wow! Have you checked out the Everyday Details Dies, they are so fancy. If you are loving the new Perennial Postage Dies, you are going to love these. This bundle is unique because the dies do not necessarily coordinate with the stamp set. But check these out! They have coordinating rectangles, circles and a few extra fancy details. In today’s card I am using the rectangles.

EVERYDAY DETIALS DIES

I started with a Boho Blossoms card base. This blue is so soft and is one of the In-Colors that will be going away in April. If you have not added it to your collection, now is the time. Just click before and start shopping. I stamped the flower pot from the Everyday Details Bundle and used the watercolor pencils to add some color. The blender pens are a great way to smooth out the lines in your coloring. If you look closely you can see a few lines in my coloring but that is because I glued before coloring.

The greeting is from Something Fancy and stamped with Memento Black. I popped it up with a few mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For my fancy borders. I used the largest rectangle and cropped it twice, once with Basic White and once with Boho Blossoms CS. I had to cut the Boho Blossom rectangle down, but the Basic White fit perfectly inside. Happy Stamping!

Make It Monday #141 Trusty Tools Bundle

Happy Monday everyone and Happy New Year. I hope you all had a fabulous holiday. I know we were all celebrating at the Novak house. It is always great to gather with friends and family no matter what the season. I have to admit there is something about Christmas that makes me what to spend more time baking and sitting in front of the fire watching Christmas movies than crafting! That is the only time of the year though….all the other days, for sure crafting all the way!

One of my Christmas gifts was a new computer from my family. I am so blessed. My son actually built my computer and trust me it is way faster than my old one, believe me it was old. The only problem with building your own was waiting on USPS to deliver the correct part, hence the technical difficulties. LOL

No worries because we are all back in action and just in time for SALE-A-BRATION. My video today features a new stamp set from the January 2024 mini catalog and some designer series paper from the Sale-a-bration catalog. If you are new to Stampin’ Up! this is our biggest and most fun promotion of the year. Not only do you get to choose a free product for every $50 you spend, there are also sign up bonuses, so join my team today and join the fun in 2024. CLICK HERE for sign up bonus information.

Happiest of Fall Birthdays!

Today I am combining the Rustic Crate bundle and the Earthen Textures bundle to create a festive fall birthday card. I began with a Very Vanilla card base and layered a panel of Early Espresso. I used some of the Earthen Textures designer series paper to create the pot. We celebrate several fall birthdays in my family and this card will be perfect.

I created the crate using some Crumb Cake cardstock and used the fall bundle to add to the crate. I used Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends to create a pop of color. The greeting is from Throughout the Year and is stamped with Early Espresso ink. The top of the pot and the gloves are cropped using our new Pecan Pie cardstock. Happy Stamping!

Color Challenge or Color Challenged!

Sometimes I love playing around with different color schemes and at other times I seem to be color challenged. Of all my color choices with Stampin’ Up! I find that I use my Flirty Flamingo the least, so I thought I would challenge myself to see what I could come up with. I decided to use Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist and realized whenever I use a three color combo, I am color challenged! LOL

Today is my daughter’s 30th birthday and I am blessed to be able to celebrate her today. I know she will like this bright and cheery color combo. Happy Birthday sweetheart, let’s Celebrate You-today and everyday!

I used the Celebrate die from Wanted to Say, cropping the background pieces with Basic Black cardstock and the detailed die with Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party. The present and hearts are some of the dies included with the Wanted to Say die set. I then stamped the “You” from Sentimental Park in Memento Black. I probably should have stamped it with Flirty Flamingo ink, after all I am supposed to be challenging myself to use that color more.

Oh well, I guess old habits die hard! Let me know in the comments if you love a color challenge or if you are color challenged! Either way, I hope this card inspires you to create something beautiful to share with others. Happy Stamping!

Translucent Florals –

Well the weekend at Danvers Days was so much fun and the weather was absolutely beautiful, but not so much this week. So glad that event is not this weekend. CLICK HERE for our August Stamp Camp Class dates and be sure to RSVP if you are planning to join us.

My card today comes from a demonstrator event in July. Ornetta Gilliam was so sweet to offer me one of her card swaps even though I did not have time to make any cards for the swap. Thank you Ornetta for your kindness and your beautiful card.

Ornetta’s beautiful card was created using the Translucent Florals stamp set that will be available in the upcoming September mini catalog. It looks like she used Tahitian Tide, Gorgeous Grape and Old Olive ink. I think she used the Deckled Rectangles Dies to add the Gorgeous Grape and Tahitian Tide panels.

You cannot tell from the picture but she used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up that panel and added a few basic rhinestones to seal the deal. It is a very pretty card and I am so grateful to Ornetta for sharing it with us. Happy Stamping!
