I recently attended an event where the patchwork pieces were used to create a card very similar to today’s post. My friend and fellow demonstrator Sarah created the patchwork design. I love working with this die, but I am thinking my eye sight is not what it used to be as some of my patches are a little off, but hey that’s what makes a handmade card unique, right?
The card base was created using a piece of the new Azure Afternoon cardstock. It is layered on some Blueberry Bushel and some Berry Burst cardstock. If you have been stamping awhile then you might remember that Berry Burst was a past In-color that is now in our full line of color options.
The greeting is from the Wanted to Say dies featured on page 167 in the 2023-2024 annual catalog. I cropped those in white and Blueberry Bushel. If you have not checked out these dies, they are very versatile and add the perfect pop to any creation. If you earned some bonus coupons last month, this would be a great time to redeem them. All bonus coupons must be redeemed before August 31st! Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday to my brother, Greg! Today is his birthday and while I am not going to be able to share a Milkshake in person, I thought I would post this card for him. See I promised it would not be Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss! LOL
This bright and bold creation was made with Lemon Lime Twist and Melon Mambo, quite the opposite of the darker neutral colors don’t you think? This fun summertime set is perfect for creating a special birthday card and I hope my brother enjoys his. I even got it in the mail on time, so he can enjoy his online and in-person birthday card!
My card base is the bright and cheery Lemon Lime Twist with a layer of Melon Mambo. The spoon is stamped with Pecan Pie ink on Pecan Pie cardstock. The fountain glass is a combo of Lemon Lime Twist and Smoky Slate and don’t forget the red cherry on top! Happy Stamping!!!!

Today I am combining the flowers from Two Tone Flora, the greeting from Artistically Inked and the dies from Natural Prints. I have to admit I don’t often use Natural Prints dies, I tend to go for the stamps so I am challenging myself to create with the dies. If you are in a crafting rut and are having a hard time getting those creative juices flowing, just pick a set that you haven’t used for awhile and see what you come up with.
I began with a Mossy Meadow card base and added a pop of color with Cherry Cobbler for my flowers. I did fussy cut a few individual flowers…..it’s just who I am! LOL Call me crazy, but I have to admit, I think the reason I don’t use this die much is because it is not quite a round wreath! Again, it is just who I am! Happy Stamping!

Today is one of those hot summer days that is perfect for sharing a an ice cream sundae. My card today was create using the Share a Milkshake bundle in the annual catalog. Growing up, we moved around a lot and I only remember the ice cream truck coming around when we lived in Springfield, Illinois, but I will always remember sharing a hot fudge sundae with my grandpa. It did not matter where we lived, I loved visiting him every summer!
Fun fact that is no secret in my family, my grandpa loved sweets, so it did not even have to be hot outside for us to share a sundae together. So no matter what the weather is like in your neighborhood today, go ahead and enjoy a sundae anyway! Happy Stamping!

This Friday is my monthly card class for the residents at Mother of Good Counsel Home. I am always amazed at the joy and excitement they bring to class. I always try to create clean and simple stamping for them as they many of them have a hard time seeing. Sometimes I use current supplies and sometimes retired products. This month I am using a combination of both.
My first card was created using Basic White and Pacific Point cardstock. While the Pacific Point is no longer available, you can always substitute Starry Sky.
My second card was created using Basic White and Marina Mist cardstock. Again the Marina Mist is retired, but Balmy Blue or the new Boho Blossom would be a good substitute. I cropped the Basic White panel using the Deckled Rectangle Dies. I seriously love these dies. The Translucent Florals Bundle is coming in the Holiday mini catalog this September.
My last card was created using the Countryside Corners stamp set and some of the Countryside Inn Designer Series paper. I cut the designer series paper with one of the Countryside corner dies and then cut a larger one with some Starry Sky cardstock. The greeting is stamped with Starry Sky ink and is from Artistically Inked, which is available in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.
I hope you will enjoy creating with some of these sets and find a way to share your stamping talents with others!

Last week I posted a sympathy card using the Petal Park stamp set and Petal Park Builder punch and today, I am posting a much happier card. This is the birthday card I make for my niece. Her birthday was in April and so I thought these flowers were just perfect for her card.
I used one of the new colors in our main line, Bubble Bath pink. I think this color is so soft and welcoming. It is great for a birthday, anniversary or thinking of you card, but I can also see using it for a baby card. I have to admit I cheated and used one of our retired inks, Soft Succulent. To be honest, I had already created the card and then realized Soft Succulent retired. Oh well, I decided to post it for you anyway.
In addition to Petal Park, I also used the greetings from Lighting the Way and Something Fancy. If you have not already added Bubble Bath to your ink pad collection, now is the time. I really do think you will love how soft it looks on your card creations.

Good morning all I hope you are having a great week. I am blessed to be in Virginia Beach visiting my mother in law. As many of you know she was living with us and my sister in law before COVID and now resides permanently with my sister-in-law and her husband in Virginia Beach. Mom just turned 91 and although she gets around by herself, her memory is not what it used to be so it is easier to have one residence.
Luckily my husband and I were able to get an Airbnb on the ocean and trust me it is much more scenic than this card, although I do think this card turned out nicely.
I stared with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Balmy Blue. To a 1/2 sheet of white, I stamped the images from the Ocean Front stamp set in Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue and Early Espresso. For added dimension, I tore the top of the cardstock and used my water paper to add a bit of balmy blue to the edges.
For the clouds, I just used our white watercolor pencil. I know they are barely visible in the photo, but I did want a very light look. I only colored and did not use any water or the blender pen. For darker clouds, color harder and/or use the blender pen. I do hope this card brings a bit of peace to your day. The ocean is always so refreshing and relaxing, that is if you are not afraid of the water!
I stamped the greeting from Celebrate Sunflowers in Pacific Point ink. I know this ink is retiring, so I am sure Blueberry Bushel or even Misty Moonlight would look nice as well. Check out the other returning colors and our Color Refresh in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. Happy Stamping!

I thought I would share with you a fun summer card for those summertime birthdays. This sweet set is considered a Hybrid set, which means the large die will cut and emboss at the same time. Nothing says summertime like some fresh lemonade. Wait until you see one of the new sets that will pair perfectly with this set.
If you are a preferred customer (placed a $50 order in the last 6 months) and have not received the new annual catalog, please let me know and I will get that out to you ASAP! The new summertime set is called So Refreshing and is pictured on page 29 of the new catalog.
I started with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Daffodil Delight. I used some scrap white to stamp the citrus and the embossing folder with the die to crop and emboss at the same time. The leaves are Old Olive and the accent flower was stamped with Calypso Coral. I just used a black sharpie to add a dot in the center of my flower. I added the bottom layer of the citrus with regular glue/snail (you know I like my green glue)and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the whole lemon and the slice in front.
I am looking forward to some evening in my backyard with some fresh squeezed lemonade by day and possibly a glass of Chardonnay at night, well at least on Friday night! Happy Stamping!
