Wow, you are so going to love the new Nests of Winter Collection by Stampin’ Up. It includes and a beautiful wintery stamp set and coordinating dies, a Birchwood embossing folder perfect to enhance any card creation and some of the most beautiful designer series papers. I just can’t get enough of these adorable birds. My mom used to love watching the birds build nests in her backyard. I am sure if she were still with us she would have loved this bundle.
Hey all I am back with another Weekly Wednesday video. Since last month was the big paper sale, I thought I would share a technique for you to use with your new paper stash. This technique really is a quick and easy way to create a variety of cards in five minutes. Check out the video below. I promise, it is short and simple!

A Closer look…
Now here is a closer look at the Perennial Lavender paper pack that I used to create this card. The only trick to this technique is to be sure that you have coordinating colors on both sides of your paper. Stampin’ Up! does an amazing job at providing that for us. If for some reason you want to use two different sheets, no problem, just be sure to cut them to be 4 x 6 before you rip and then have fun mixing and matching.
Today’s Card, Supplies, and Measurements:
Gorgeous Grape CS- 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gorgeous Grape Ink Basic White CS-3 x 3 Perennial Lavender DSP- 4 x 6 -rip and flip Deckled Circle Dies Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine Adhesive-my fav is our Liquid Glue Stampin’ Dimensionals
Love, Love, Love this paper. Again, just be sure to cut your designer series paper a 4 x 6 so you have some wiggle room and then the two pieces will easily overlap making it easier for you to assemble. If you choose a one way pattern design like the image above, be sure to position the paper in your cutter so your pattern will not be upside down. Happy Stamping!

Did you know that 80 is the new 65? While I am not sure if that is a fact, it seems to be thing. Maybe it is because a lot of the Baby Boomers are turning 65! LOL It is that time again in the month when I go to visit my senior friends at Mother of Good Counsel Home.
Seriously though, did you know that many senior living communities can feel like neighborhood and living in senior living communities can prevent social isolation. That’s a good thing! Don’t worry about taking your beloved dog or cat because many of the communities are pet friendly. If that is not great enough many seniors can keep their independence and go on scheduled outing where transportation is provided. It’s like having your own chauffer. They even have fun classes like card-making. And here are the cards we are making today.
Card #1
Fun and Bright Colors -Lemon Lime Twist and Peach Pie
Use your favorite designer series patterned paper to create this card. I cut three strips that measure 3-3/4 x 1-1/2 and layered them on a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Peach Pie. The greeting is from Sweetly Scripted and stamped on a strip of white-1 x 5 1/2.
Card #2
Soft and Subtle Retired Wisteria Wonder-try Highland Heather!
I just love the look of a monochromatic card, don’t you. The flower in this image is from a retired set, Calming Camellia and I also used some Wisteria Wonder ink and retired designer series paper. You can use any colors and patterns that you have on hand. I started with a Basic White card, add a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Wisteria Wonder. The Basic White panel or the flower and greeting measures 2-3/4 x 4 and the patterned paper measures 3 x 4.
Card #3
Elegant Flower-Retired Rococo Rose and Pistachio Pudding
For my final card I again began with a Basic White card and added a 4×5-1/4 layer of Rococo Rose. I stamped the flower in Rococo and the leaves with Pistachio Pudding ink, both retired on a 3 x 5 Basic White panel. Remember I tend to use my retired stash for my senior friends.
I hope you enjoy today’s cards, I am sure my senior friends will be thrilled. They are a special group and we have a lot of fun crafting together. If you know someone who is not able to get out much then I encourage you to send them a hand-stamped hug! Happy Stamping!
Thanks for stopping by! Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Today I am sharing with you a card I sent to a friend who recently had a knee replacement. I am not sure she has received the card yet, so if she sees this post before she gets her card then I guess she gets twice the sunshine and rainbows. The greeting I used to create this card is from Kindest Expressions and is available in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. The background was created using the Bubble Up Technique that I shared with you on Monday! Click hereif you missed that post.
I stared with a Flirty Flamingo card base and added a layer of Basic Black CS. The Bubble Up technique was created using about 10 drops of Calypso Coral re-inker and 1/4 cup of bubbles. I stamped my greeting with Memento Black ink and yes, I used my stamp positioner to make sure it stamped well on my background.
Fun Fact!
Did you know that according to science, soap bubbles do not actually fly, they float? The bubble film and the air trapped inside of it are incredibly lightweight. When they float through the air, what you are watching is the bubbles riding on top of denser carbon dioxide (CO2) gas molecules in the outside air!
Check out the fun bubble technique in video #166 from my Mondays Make it Monday Video Series. I know you will have fun creating with this technique . Create multiple backgrounds and save them for future projects. My card today took about 2 minutes to create!

Hey all, yesterday I shared the Bubble Up Technique on my Make It Monday video, click here if you missed that video.
Today I am sharing the two cards that we created at my June stamp camp using this fun and a little bit messy technique. If you prepare your surface well, it really is not that messy and since we are using Stampin’ Up! re-inkers, they wash right out.
I shared these cards in yesterday’s video, but they were not included in the pdf project sheet. The black accent is from the Wonderful Thoughts dies. I started with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Balmy Blue. The greeting is cut with Paper Snips and I showed how to create this kind of tag in last weeks Weekly Wednesday video, click hereif you missed that post.
Our second card was also created with the blue Bubble Up background. I began this card with the Azure Afternoon cardstock and added a layer of Basic Black before the technique background panel. I used the Texture Floral Bundle for my flowers and accent pieces. The greeting is from the Courage & Faith stamps set.
I hope you will give this fun technique a try. It really is an easy way to create a variety of beautiful backgrounds for your next card making session. Happy Stamping!

Happy Wednesday! It is time again to create another card together and today we are creating a fun diagonal card using the Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper.

My finished card is a little different than the one in the video. I did go back and add a butterfly and some bling. The butterfly is from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit but you can use any of the butterflies from Sketched Butterflies featured on page 68 in the Annual Catalog.
I am excited to share the last of my team swap cards today and hope they inspire you to get out your crafting tools and create something beautiful to share with someone in your life. Some of these cards were created using an online exclusive stamp set, so you won’t find them in the catalog. Just click on the photos to access my online store.
