Making Christmas cards is one of my favorite things to create so thank the Lord we always have a new mini catalog debuting each January. Not to mention January is also SALE-A-BRATION time! Today I created a card using one of the paper packs that you can earn during the January – February SALE-A-BRATION, Trusty Toolbox. Creating with new product is definitely one of my favorite things.
This paper pack can be yours free with a $50 purchase beginning January 4th. Be sure to check back here in January to download a pdf of the January mini catalog and the SALE-A-BRATION brochure. Until then, happy stamping!

We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I know the trees in my project are retired, but they are such great trees. This is also a great set to showcase the watercolor background. Last month I featured a video and some cards I created using this background technique. CLICK HERE if you missed that!

In many cultures snowflakes symbolize uniqueness. Sound perfectly logical since each snowflake is different. Snowflakes are actually made of ice crystals. Ice crystals are simply water droplets that freeze on contact with dust particles in the atmosphere. These ice crystals develop into intricate, beautiful shapes and we call them snowflakes. Did you know that the shapes depend on how cold the sub-freezing air is and how much humidity or moisture is present in the air where they form.
Well, today’s holiday card features the Snowflake Sky embossing folder (#162026 $11). I absolutely love the look of the snowflakes and just for fun I embossed on a panel of designer series paper instead of cardstock. I think it gives it a much softer look.
My card base is Cherry Cobbler and my greeting from Night Divine is stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink. I did fussy cut the greeting, but other than that, this was a super simple card. I hope you will create some beautiful holiday cards with this unique embossing folder. Happy Stamping!

Here is another holiday card using the Joy of Noel bundle and the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper. I began with a Shaded Spruce card base and added a layer of DSP to the card front. The green holly border is also cut using a panel of Shaded Spruce cardstock. The greeting is stamped with Shaded Spruce ink on a panel of white and cropped using the coordinating die from the bundle.
Did you know that traditionally the Holly tree symbolizes peace and goodwill. Due to its resistance to lightning, it is associated with the Celtic and Norse gods of thunder, Taranis and Thor. According to ancient history it was planted near dwellings to protect people from lightning strikes. I think it is just beautiful and makes me think of Christmas! Happy Stamping!

Don’t you just love how a single act of kindness changes everything? I think that is one of my favorite things about the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons. It calls us to be more mindful of how we treat others and to be grateful for the blessing we have instead of focusing on what we don’t have or even worse on what others have. It keeps us humble and focused on the present moment of joy and happiness, which can ultimately lead to peace, at least peace of heart.
Today my card focuses on that very kindness. I again used the watercolor background technique to create my own designer series paper if you will to cut out the Handcrafted Elements Dies. I added this sweet die to a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock. I used Highland Heather cardstock for my card base and border for the greeting. I think the Highland Heather pairs perfectly with my watercolor background die.
The greeting, from Timeless Arrangements, is stamped with Highland Heather ink and the little flower/leaf die is cut from the same watercolor background paper that I created. Of course I just had to add a few rhinestone bling but feel free to decorate as much or little as you like.
Thank you all for being such loyal followers. I hope you have fun creating many different cards this holiday season. Happy Stamping!

I am having more fun playing with our Handcrafted Element Dies. Don’t forget these beauties are on sale. Click here for our Last Chance product sale! Please note all products are while supplies last. I decided to use a Basic Black card base and added a layer of Poppy Parade. I again cut my die from the watercolor background that I created and added it to another black layer.
I used a corner rounder on my second layer of black to add a more elegant look. The thanks is stamped with Memento Black and is from Artistically Inked. I added just a bit of bling to finish off my card. I believe the rhinestones that I used are retired and that is okay because I am sure you have plenty of bling in your crafting stash. Right? Have fun creating-Happy Stamping!
