Today I am sharing with you how I turned one Paper Pumpkin card into three different birthday cards. This is an alternative way to create cards using your August 2024 Paper Pumpkin supplies. I probably should have titled this Paper Pumpkin Hack since I seriously hacked one of the kit cards to create 4 new cards. I will share my fourth card with you on Friday! Be sure to stop back for the fun!
I hope you enjoy these alternative cards. Be sure to stop back on Friday to see my fourth and final card from the August 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit. CLICK HEREfor more information on how to become an exclusive Paper Pumpkin member.

Did you know that 80 is the new 65? While I am not sure if that is a fact, it seems to be thing. Maybe it is because a lot of the Baby Boomers are turning 65! LOL It is that time again in the month when I go to visit my senior friends at Mother of Good Counsel Home.
Seriously though, did you know that many senior living communities can feel like neighborhood and living in senior living communities can prevent social isolation. That’s a good thing! Don’t worry about taking your beloved dog or cat because many of the communities are pet friendly. If that is not great enough many seniors can keep their independence and go on scheduled outing where transportation is provided. It’s like having your own chauffer. They even have fun classes like card-making. And here are the cards we are making today.
Card #1
Use your favorite designer series patterned paper to create this card. I cut three strips that measure 3-3/4 x 1-1/2 and layered them on a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Peach Pie. The greeting is from Sweetly Scripted and stamped on a strip of white-1 x 5 1/2.
Card #2
I just love the look of a monochromatic card, don’t you. The flower in this image is from a retired set, Calming Camellia and I also used some Wisteria Wonder ink and retired designer series paper. You can use any colors and patterns that you have on hand. I started with a Basic White card, add a 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Wisteria Wonder. The Basic White panel or the flower and greeting measures 2-3/4 x 4 and the patterned paper measures 3 x 4.
Card #3
For my final card I again began with a Basic White card and added a 4×5-1/4 layer of Rococo Rose. I stamped the flower in Rococo and the leaves with Pistachio Pudding ink, both retired on a 3 x 5 Basic White panel. Remember I tend to use my retired stash for my senior friends.
I hope you enjoy today’s cards, I am sure my senior friends will be thrilled. They are a special group and we have a lot of fun crafting together. If you know someone who is not able to get out much then I encourage you to send them a hand-stamped hug! Happy Stamping!

Did you know that there are over 60 different species of deer worldwide. That’s a lot right? And deer are present on all continents except Antarctica. They can live in a range of habitats, from mountainous areas to warm and wet rainforests. And here I just thought they loved the forest like in my card today. Just hanging out in the grove.
This background and cute deer are from the Grove dies, which also has a matching stamp set, Grassy Grove. I just thought it would be fun to use the dies and create a silhouette outline for my forest seen. I created my forest background by using a Blending Brush, some Granny Apple Green ink for the grassy part and some Highland Heather for the nightfall.
I love the large forest die in this set and I used Basic Black cardstock to create a silhouette effect, making a perfect addition to enhance my background. This is actually a birthday card for a dear friend, but it would also make a great thinking of you card.
Check out these dies and the coordinating stamp set!
Happy Stamping!

Happy Wednesday. It is time again to create a card together and today we are having fun with triangles. Now I was never big on geometry but working with these triangles, cardstock and designer series paper was fun. If only I would have been able to paper craft for geometry in high school. I might have enjoyed my math classes more. I hope you enjoy today’s video!
Now like I said geometry was not my thing and to be honest I am not really big on numbers but trust me this design is super simple. All you need is a 3 x 4 piece of designer series paper and a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of coordinating cardstock. Cut both pieces on the diagonal, layer them up and tada, you have a fun triangle card.
My card base is Crumb Cake and my border pieces are Early Espresso. I also stamped the greeting from Sweetly Scripted (an online exclusive) in Early Espresso ink. You can have fun creating with different designer series patterns and colored cardstock like in the example below.
In my second cards I used the Flowering Zinnias designer series paper (also an online exclusive), a Melon Mambo card base, added a 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White panel and Blackberry Bliss accent triangles. I stamped my greeting with Blackberry Bliss ink and wow, a totally different card look. Happy Stamping!

That is all for our Weekly Wednesday video for making a fast and easy birthday card in less than five minutes. Really the hardest part of this card is making sure your cardstock to be embossed is straight and does not shift in the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine. Happy Monday everyone! I am so excited to share with you a sneak peek for a new bundle that will be coming in September in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Coming this fall, Winterly Tree Tops. Today I am excited to share with you a technique I am calling Bubble Up! It is a fun technique that uses bubbles and re-inkers. There are several videos on the internet using dishwashing soap, water, and re-inkers. I just found it a bit easier to use already prepared bubble from the dollar store. I hope you enjoy this fun technique. It is certainly one you can do outside with your kids this summer.
This is one of those techniques that turns out different every time so have fun playing around with different colors. Let me know in the comments what you think about this technique. If you try this at home and I hope that you will, please consider sharing your projects with us. Happy Stamping!
