Artistically Inked Thank You by Laura Rossmann

Today and tomorrow’s blog post is brought to you by my dear friend, Laura Rossmann. Thank you Laura for helping me get posted during this most difficult time.

From Laura-

I began with a Basic White card base and added the Artistically Inked DSP.  Using the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine and the Artistic Dies, I cut out the group of flowers and leaves from Basic White Cardstock and adhered it on top of the Artistically Inked DSP.

I stamped the large flower in Daffodil Delight Ink and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz then cut them using the flower and leaf dies. I then filled in the center of the flower using the Wink of Stella and adhered them on top of the white flowers and leaves using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Thanks on the remaining Basic White CS and cut it using the tag die from the Seasonal Labels Dies.  I adhered the sentiment tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Project Measurements and Supplies

  • Basic White CS – 5 ½ by 8 ½ (card base) and the remaining 5 ½ by 8 ½ for stamping and die cutting
  • Artistically Inked DSP – 5 ¼ by 4 (retired)

Come Holy Sprit Come-Sunday Wisdom

The past few weeks have been filled with many blessing from the Holy Spirit, so how fitting that today is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. As many of you know my mom has been battling cancer. It has been a long and emotional week, as my mom lost her battle with cancer yesterday.

The good news is that she now has a beautiful place in heaven just for her. I am so grateful she is now resting in the arms of her Savior. I have been blessed to walk this most difficult journey with her and even more blessed to be able to spend the last 10 days providing around the clock care for her with some of my siblings.

While my day to day blogging continued during this time, I do not have the mental capacity to create a Make It Monday video for tomorrow. I do have my card ready to go for Tuesday, and after that some of my dear friends have offered to create blog posts for me. I will sharing their creations with you over the next couple of weeks. Thank you so much for your understanding!

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Hello Two Little Ladybugs-Favorite Things Friday

Just thought I would share a card that I created for my stamping friends at St. Clement of Rome parish. I had the pleasure of stamping with a group of beautiful and talented ladies involved with the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. It was an evening of stamping fun.

I chose the Hello Ladybug Bundle because I think these little critters are adorable and I love punches. Begin with a Basic White card base and add a layer of Black and Real Red to the card front. Use the Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine and the Deckled Dies to crop a Basic White layer.

The leaf is stamped with Granny Apple Green and the greeting and accent dots in Memento Black ink. A few weeks ago I used this bundle to create some bees. CLICK HERE if you missed that post.

Project Supplies and Measurements

  • Basic White CS-5½ x 8½, (card base)
  • Basic White CS-4 x 5¼ cut using the Deckled Dies
  • Basic White CS- 2 x 5½
  • Basic Black CS-4 x 5¼, 4×4
  • Real Red CS-3¾ x 5

  • Memento Black Ink
  • Real Red Ink
  • Deckled Rectangle Dies

Hello Forever Fern

My card today was created with the Forever Fern stamp set and coordinating dies featured in the annual catalog.  I always love the distinctive ink sets and this bundle does not disappoint.

I love the softness of the leaves and regardless of what color I use, they always look great. Today’s colors are Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler. I began with a Basic White card base and added a layer of Cherry Cobbler.  On another panel of Basic White I stamped the larger fern leaves in Old Olive and the smaller fern leaf in Pear Pizzazz.  I stamped the smaller leaf several times.

Use the  Stampin’ Cut n Emboss machine to crop several berries and then finish off your card with a few black dot splashes. The greeting is stamped with Memento Black ink and attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you have fun creating-stamp something beautiful for someone! See below for a list of project supplies and our current host code.

Lord Send Us Your Spirit! ~ Sunday Wisdom

“Lord send out your Spirit and renew the face of the earth. ” Happy Pentecost Sunday and Praise God for the Holy Spirit, our advocate. Isn’t it amazing how the Holy Spirit works in our daily lives, changing everything! Sometimes it is gentle push and sometimes it shakes us up, but when we allow the Holy Spirit to move within us, the change is always good.

The more we are open and receptive, the easier it is to recognize those God winks in our lives. Life is not always easy, but when we trust, things do work out just as the Lord planned. That is the key you know, as the Lord planned and not as we may have planned.

As my mom continues to fight her battle with cancer, I am reminded that the Lord does not always give us what we want, but He does give us what we need and we need the Holy Spirit. We can all use a bit more joy and charity in our lives. Holy Spirit grant us the grace and wisdom this week to be a bit more kind, generous, faithful and forgiving.

I pray that you will allow the Holy Spirit to breathe on you and move through you. As I continue to unite my own sufferings with the Lord, I am grateful for all the blessings He has given to me.

Breathe on me, Breath of God,
fill me with life anew,
that I may love the way you love,
and do what you would do.

Breathe on me, Breath of God,
until my heart is pure,
until my will is one with yours,
to do and to endure.

Breathe on me, Breath of God,
so shall I never die,
but live with you the perfect life
for all eternity.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time, be blessed, Renae

Lovely You & Dahlia Days-Favorite Things Friday

Wow, I cannot believe it is already Friday and the end of May as well. I hope you have some fun Memorial Day plans. A quick shout out to all our veterans. Thank you for keeping us safe. Let us continue to keep the people of Ukraine in our prayers as we hope for peace in our world.

One of my favorite colors in the annual catalog is Blackberry Bliss. I love how it perfectly pairs with Old Olive in today’s card featuring Dahlia Days and Lovely You. I am sure this card layout would look great with a variety of colors. If you want to add the Dahlia Days Bundle to your stamping stash, be sure to do that soon as it will retiring next month.

This card layout was created by cutting off @ 1¼” from the right side of the card front. This allows the Basic White CS panel from the inside to show. Have fun playing around with this layout and let me know what you create.

Project Supplies and Measurements

  • Blackberry Bliss CS- 5½ x 8½ (card base)
  • Basic White CS- 4 x 5¼ (inside)
  • Basic White CS- 1-1/8 x 2 ½ (greeting), 3 x 4
  • Dahlia Days Bundle
  • Lovely You Stamp Set
  • Blackberry Bliss Ink
  • Old Olive Ink
  • Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive or Liquid Glue

Be sure when you are adding the greeting panel that you only put glue on the left side! I left my greeting panel plain, but you could use a Blending Brush or a Sponge Dauber to add a bit of Blackberry color on the edges.

Amazing Painted Posies Embossing Folder

You are so going to love this amazing 3-D Embossing Folder. The detail is absolutely gorgeous. This is a super simple card where the embossing folder does all the work.

I began with a Basis Black card base and added a layer of white. I dry embossing a panel of the new In-Color Orchid Oasis cardstock using the new Painted Posies 3-D embossing folder.

When layering the words from Amazing Thanks dies I like to use the liquid glue as it gives you a little more time to position the detailed wording.

InKing Royal Blog Hop-Birds and Bees!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! Spring is just around the corner, so we are sharing Spring projects with bees and birds. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

First, could not decide if I wanted to do birds or bees and then once I decided I could not choose between the Hello Ladybug and the Honeybee Home bundles, so I decided to post them both.

For my first card, I simply turned this cute little Ladybug into a bumblebee. Unfortunately the Bumblebee cardstock and ink is retired, so I went with So Saffron. I added a panel of black that I embossed with the Hammered Metal embossing folder, yes, I know it too is retired, but you can use the new Hive 3-D embossing folder, I just have not received mine yet!

This card is pretty basic and easy to assemble. After you fold the card base in half cut off 1¼ from the card front to create the folded front image. I added some Daffodil Delight CS strips on the ladybug to create stripes and used vellum cardstock for the bee wings, then embellished it with a Matte Black Dot. I hope you enjoy creating with this adorable bundle.

Projects Supplies and Measurements for Card #1

  • So Saffron CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base), 3 x 4
  • Basic White CS- 4 x 5 ¼, 2 ¾ x 3 ¾
  • Basic Black CS- 2 ¾ x 5 ¼, 3 x 4
  • Daffodil Delight CS- 2 x 2 (cut 3 thin strips)
  • Vellum CS- 3 x 3
  • Honeybee Home Bundle
  • Memento Black Ink
  • So Saffron Ink
  • Matte Black Dots
  • Hive 3-D Embossing Folder
  • Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

My second card again began with a Basic White card base, but this time I added a piece of Daffodil Delight to the bottom and a strip of Basic Black across the middle to hide the seam. I was not sure how the black floral would like, but I love this bundle and decided to go for it. And, I kind of like it. Of course the bees are adorable, especially since they are not real. I added color to the bees using Daffodil Delight ink and a Blender Pen.

I do love this sentiment because it will be perfect to send to my mother-in-law. She continues to enjoy my card creations and may be my biggest fan! LOL

Projects Supplies and Measurements for Card #2

  • Basic White CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base), 3 x 4
  • Daffodil Delight CS- 5 ¼ x 5½
  • Basic Black CS- 3 x 4, ½ x 5 ½
  • Honeybee Home Bundle
  • Memento Black Ink
  • Daffodil Delight Ink
  • Blender Pen
  • Stampin’ Cut n Emboss Machine
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

Dragonfly Garden-Pretty In Polished Pink

Unless you visit the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis regularly, you probably won’t see many dragonflies and most certainly never pink ones, but I just thought it would be fun to create non-traditional dragonfly card. Mission accomplished!

It may be difficult to see in the photo, but after I folded my card base, I actually cut 1″ off of the right side of the card front. I then stamped the dragonflies on a Basic White panel that measures 2½ x 5½. I added just a hint of Polished Pink ink to the wings using a sponge dauber.

The greeting is stamped in Memento Black and punched with the Double Oval Punch. I used this same punch to crop the scallop oval in Polished Pink. Be sure to only put adhesive on the left side of your ovals and attach to the front panel of your card. The Black dot accents are from Hello Ladybug.

Project Supplies and Measurements

  • Basic White CS- 5½ x 8½, (card base)
  • Basic White CS- 2 x 5 ½
  • Polished Pink CS- 2 ¼ x 5 ½, 2 x 3
  • Dragonfly Garden stamp set
  • Hello Ladybug
  • Memento Black Ink
  • Polished Pink Ink
  • Sponge Dauber
  • Double Oval Punch
  • Stampin’ Seal Adhesive/Liquid Glue

I hope this card inspires you to think outside the box and create something beautiful. Have fun!
